Cinnamon (cassia bark) is one of the oldest spices known to mankind, reportedly imported to Egypt in 2000BC.
Powdered cinnamon is crafted by removing the inner bark of the cinnamon tree and leaving it to dry in the sun. As the cassia bark dries it becomes cylindrical forming cinnamon stick, which are then milled into a fine powder.
Cinnamon is good for cooking, adding flavour and fragrance to food and drinks. It’s also consumed to maintain physical health and promote emotional wellbeing.
